Anger Management Program

LICADD provides direct treatment and therapy in anger management. Our program is a uniquely designed step-by-step process that helps participants develop a positive self-image, improve relationships, and change unhealthy behaviors through the implementation of 8 Core Skills for managing emotions.

Topics covered include:

  • Recognizing stress
  • Personality and identity
  • Developing empathy
  • Respond instead of react
  • Defense mechanisms
  • Developing acceptance
  • Changing that conversation with yourself
  • Healing damaged relationships
  • Assertive Communication
  • Adjusting expectations
  • Forgiving, but not forgetting
  • Retreating and thinking things over

Our standard program is a 12-week group that meets virtually Tuesday mornings and evenings. Individual coaching is available, including emotional regulation counseling. Also, each month LICADD holds a one day 8-hour course.

We've rebranded!

LICADD is thrilled to welcome FIST, GGT and Open Arms EAP into the LICADD family. During Recovery Month, more than ever, we need to work hard to remove the stigma of substance use disorder and give people the freedom and confidence to reach out for help.
