Families who have lost loved ones to overdoses joined with advocates, members of law enforcement and supporters at THRIVE in Hauppauge on Tuesday to mark Fentanyl Awareness Day.

The group is calling for more action and more attention to be paid to what they have called a national health crisis.

They’re urging local and national leaders to continue the conversation about fentanyl, and to deliver more resources to cure this ongoing problem.
