Brianna Pratnicki is a Criminal Justice Clinician and Mental Health Counselor at LICADD. She received her master’s degree from SUNY Old Westbury. Before joining the LICADD staff, Brianna worked as an intern at Wellmind, providing mental health services to those in need from January 2023 to May 2024.

Brianna worked as a music teacher during her undergraduate degree studies and has been able to use her organizational teaching skills to help her as a Criminal Justice Clinician. She uses compassion with a strong commitment to support individuals in navigating the complexities of the legal system. She specializes in providing therapeutic interventions and support to clients navigating the challenges of incarceration, probation, and reintegration.

Brianna has a multifaced therapeutic approach using psychodynamic techniques, as well as trauma-informed care, substance use, and cognitive-behavioral approaches. She emphasizes empathy, respect, and the belief in the potential for positive change in every individual, regardless of their past.  Her dedication to advocating for clients’ rights and promoting mental health awareness within the criminal justice system underscores her commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
