Kerlande Metayer Joseph is a Bookkeeper/Grants Specialist at LICADD, joining the team at the end of 2024. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Port-au-Prince in Haiti, as well as an associate degree in Business Administration – Administrative Assistant.

Prior to joining LICADD, Kerlande worked in her home country as a co-founding member of Fondation Essence-Elle (FEE), an organization dedicated to empowering women and girls through education and financial autonomy. She firmly believes that education provides knowledge, independence, and safety. Through her various initiatives, she remains committed to making a meaningful impact on the lives of others, always placing education at the forefront of her work.

A strong advocate for gender equality, Kerlande actively promotes access to financial resources and educational opportunities for women and girls. She believes that when a woman is educated and financially empowered, she gains independence and fulfillment—creating a safety net not only for herself, but also for her family and the causes she champions.
