About the Women's Empowerment Program

Mental health, substance use, and family challenges can interrupt our careers at any stage of life - but that interruption doesn’t have to be forever!

The Women’s Empowerment Program (WEP) is a recovery-forward vocational advisorship program for women at every stage of their careers. Whether you join us as an advisor with wisdom to share or an advisee with a goal to accomplish, LICADD’s WEP program is a place for all women to learn, grow, and achieve - regardless of history, identity, and experience!

The program aims to foster business relationships, build professional skills, share resources, and create professional alliances during regular, goal-driven meetings over three months.

WEP’s mission doesn’t stop with mentorship! Our bimonthly career seminars and networking sessions create opportunities for women to learn, share, and build their professional networks in a safe, supportive space. These events feature career coaches, industry experts, and peer leaders sharing tools and stories to help women in recovery and beyond take confident steps toward meaningful work. All women welcome - we can’t wait to learn with you!
