Mary Elaine Gibbo is thrilled to join LICADD. She comes to LICADD holding her Bachelor of Arts degree, with a concentration in Social Epidemiology, and a Master of Social Work degree. Between volunteering in schools in the South Bronx, teaching in Paraguay, and interning as a School Social Worker in Alabama, Mary Elaine has experience working with adolescents of all ages. Her time as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Paraguay gave Mary Elaine unique insight in how to work with both adolescents and adults to achieve common goals.

Mary Elaine uses an eclectic approach to work with clients addressing substance use, anger management, and mental health. Mary Elaine strives to empower clients so that they may be able to live life on life’s terms. As an Education Specialist at LICADD, Mary Elaine enjoys the privilege of going into schools and providing students with information to help them navigate an ever-changing world. She is also honored to assist in professional development to support those who are on the front lines of serving our communities.
