Join LICADD and Family & Children’s Association’s Families Healing Together (FHT) Program for a free virtual workshop exploring the connection between trauma, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), youth substance use risk, and compassion fatigue among helping professionals. This 90-minute training will examine how trauma can influence youth development, coping, and vulnerability to substance use. Participants will explore protective factors and trauma-informed approaches that support young people while also considering the emotional impact this work can have on professionals. The workshop will distinguish compassion fatigue, secondary traumatic stress, and burnout while introducing practical individual and organizational strategies for sustaining professional well-being.

- Community service providers
- Continuing Education Credits
Participants may earn 1.5 CEUs/CTLE credits for:
