Join LICADD in partnership with the Town of Brookhaven Department of General Services, Youth Bureau Division on Tuesday, July 21st from 9:30 AM-12:00 PM at Brookhaven Town Hall OR virtually for an interactive and important workshop on Emerging Trends in Youth Substance Use: Evidence-Based Prevention & Treatment Strategies.
LICADD’s Education Programs Supervisor, Ali Hougnou, LMSW, will provide information on current trends in youth substance use, risk factors associated with youth substance use (including how current events are impacting youth), as well as best practices in prevention and treatment.
This workshop is FREE to attend (advanced registration required) and is open to all who are interested – including mental health professionals, educators, parents/guardians, and other community members. Registration closes on 07/20/26, and there are limited in-person spots available. Those attending in-person will have access to a light breakfast. Completion of this workshop will provide 2.5 CEUs for eligible LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, and CASACs.
