John P. Sheehy, MD is a retired pediatrician and respected healthcare leader with more than 45 years of experience serving children and families across Long Island. A graduate of Bowdoin College and New York Medical College, Dr. Sheehy maintained a private pediatric practice from 1978 to 2024 and has held longstanding affiliations with Glen Cove Hospital, North Shore Hospital, and Cohen Children’s Medical Center. He has served on the Glen Cove Hospital Medical Board since 1985, including roles as Chairman and Vice Chair, and has been a dedicated member of LICADD’s Board of Directors since 1990.
