Open Arms EAP is dedicated to maximizing the health and productivity of the workforce on Long Island and beyond. Drawing on clinical protocols developed in the most demanding treatment environments for more than fifty years, our high-touch service-oriented approach has yielded proven results across a broad spectrum of industries for organizations with as few as ten employees to those with more than ten thousand. Open Arms can scale and customize its services seamlessly to reflect the needs of its clients now and in the future.

Open Arms EAP is operated by the Long Island Council on Alcoholism & Drug Dependence (LICADD), an organization established in 1956 as the pioneering not-for­-profit health agency dedicated to addressing alcoholism and other drug addictions on Long Island. Since our inception, we have provided clinical services to more than 80,000 individuals and families and reached hundreds of thousands of Long Islanders with critical prevention education messages designed to limit the use of alcohol and other drugs.

Open Arms EAP – Long Island’s oldest and most established non-profit program – began shortly after LICADD’s formation as a means to help identify and assist employees and/or their immediate family members who may be having a problem with alcohol and/or other drugs. Today, Open Arms EAP provides confidential crisis intervention services, evaluation and assessment, brief interventions, screened referrals and follow-up services for a broad spectrum of personal concerns for employees of Long Island’s companies, labor unions, school districts, and municipalities.
