The LICADD Community, including staff, Board of Directors, and community partners joined US Senator, Kirsten Gillibrand, to introduce legislation that will provide support services to communities and families battling addiction.
The Family Support Services for Addiction Act would create a $25 million grant program over five years to help nonprofits and community organizations provide support services to families with loved ones seeking addiction treatment. It would also help empower families with the resources to help loved ones struggling with addiction.
